What a treat to walk with the dogs!
As you know these dog stocks are found by sorting any group of dividend payers by yield. This dividend dog catcher defines groups as they happen: indexes, sectors, industries, markets, business types, capitalizations, portfolios, etc. Groups have been as few as fifteen stocks and as many as thousands.

To help explain how dog stock trading worked I needed a charting technique that kept mathematics simple in the mind of the beholder. I chose to display annual dividends based on how many dollars would be generated in a year from a $1000 investment in each stock.
